"The Monkey's Paw" is a short supernatural, be-careful what you wish for story. In the story, a family of three finds themselves in possession of a magical monkey's paw that grants the holder three wishes. However, each wish comes with a huge price as the user is tampering with fate itself.
The story starts on a stormy night as the family (Mr. White, Ms. White and their son Herbert) are visited by Sergeant Major Morris, the family friend. While he was traveling the world, he had found a Monkey's Paw with the ability to grant wishes. Having bad experiences with the paw, he tries to discard it by throwing it in a fire but is stopped by Mr. White who takes it from him. He is warned of the consequences, but does so regardless. Some time later, Mr. White's first wish is to be given a certain amount of money. The drawback for this however is the loss of their son the next day. The family is told that their son was involved in a horrible factory accident and as compensation would be given money. After some time passes, Mrs. White suggests using the paw to bring back their son. Mr. White does so, using his second wish. Shortly after, the couple hears a knocking on the door. Mr. White realizes that due to the horrific event and the time that had passed, their son's corpse would be horribly disfigured and decomposed. In addition to this, the family live very close to the graveyard where Herbert was buried, as his funeral had passed at this point. While Mrs. White runs to the door to let her son inside, Mr. White quickly uses his third wish to wish away their son before he is seen in that state. So far i'm still thinking what materials I will use. I will most likely be using different types of cut paper.
